A to Z of Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories

Upbeat Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories…

  • Umbrellas: I had an adorable frog umbrella as well as a Minnie Mouse umbrella. Much more fun that old black, stodgy ones.
  • Unicorns: Who doesn’t love them? Especially little cartoonish ones.
  • Unexpected packages: A joy to open and reveal the surprise. Although I do have to admit that at my age, that could very well be something I’ve ordered and forgotten about.
  • Underdogs: My favorite movies are ‘feel good’ ones where the underdog wins.
  • Undressing: Don’t frown, undressing and changing into comfy night clothes always feels good!
  • Underneath: I love cloud watching, and that means I’m underneath. I had to share TWO cloud photos I took in 2019 on my way into town.

  1. Those cloud photos are amazing!

My U word would be Udon. There’s something comforting and filling about udon soup. Those thick noodles and tasty broth with meat and veggies.
I used to think soup was an appetizer until I had udon, and then realised it could be a complete meal in one bowl 🍲

    1. I used that cloud formation in my other A-Z blog for the letter O (Ominous). I almost think I like it better in B&W.

  2. Unicorns are cute. Umbrellas..hmm..these remind me of the scenes in romantic films where the heroine’s umbrella flies away in a storm and then the gallant hero comes along and offers her his umbrella and they walk away together, looking deep into each other’s eyes 😛

  3. Undressing is my favorite in your list. There’s no better feeling than shedding my outside clothes and getting into my lounge around the house clothes.

    1. Doing the Wool& challenges has found me getting more “dressed” every day than I have since COVID. Then just before dinner, I put on sloppy evening clothes (which I used to wear all day).

  4. Absolutely YES to underneath clouds. My Dad was a weatherman (meteorologist) who taught me so much about clouds. I can always feel him with me when scanning the sky.
