Someone asked me about my previous April A to Z Blog Challenges and if they were available. The answer is yes and no. Most of my old posts were on Blogger.com and there are issues with missing images on some of them. But if you’d like to check them out, here’s the year, theme, and link to the letter A.

2012: My theme was micro-fiction that I called 10 by 10. A maximum of ten sentences, a minimum of 100 words. The posts are no longer available in the blog but you can download the book I published using the posts by signing up for my newsletter HERE.

2014: My theme once again was micro-fiction. This time around I picked a Spanish word that started with the appropriate letter AND the English translation also started with the same letter.  Letter A

2015: I had no theme, I just picked a word and wrote something non-fiction usually. Letter A

2017: I went more personal this time around and used the theme “Oh, the places we will go” and highlighted two places I had been that started with the letter of the day. Letter A

2018: It was back to flash fiction written using two words and a photo for inspiration. How did I chose the words? First I brought up a noun list for each letter, then averted my eyes, scrolled the mouse down, stopped and double-clicked. That was the word! The second word was chosen the same way but from a dictionary list of words. Letter A

2019: More flash fiction using 300 words or less, inspired by selected words along with a photo for inspiration. The words were chosen in reverse order from a lesson plan page. For example, for the letter A it was the 26th word on the list, for Z it was the 1st word on the list. Letter A

I’m sorry for any missing images in the older blogs but not worth my time to go back and fix them (and some may not be fixable if the public sourced images have been removed. Also, commenting is no longer allowed on the posts that were done on blogger.com.

  1. Wow. You’ve been participating for a long time. I’ve seen people doing it over the years but this was the first year I jumped in. I like the different themes you picked.

  2. I agree you should do what makes you happy for A to Z or, as you put it, something you miss doing. A to Z is a lot of work as it is. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
