Some of you may have followed my 100 Day Wool& Challenge and know that I’ve been taking selfies in the bedroom mirror almost daily. So it wasn’t hard to take one as I prepared for my first author talk.
Yes, that’s right. I was heading out to our local senior center to chat for 30-45 minutes about me and my writing. The gorgeous book print tote bag and matching clutch purse were made as a gift for me by my talented friend, Kay Bennett (VeraKay Handmade Bags).
I chose my Woolx Charlie tunic (nice and warm) over my Allbirds leggings with my JBU by Jambu Della boots that I bought for Scotland next fall. I felt good!
The talk went well and surprisingly I ended up with half a dozen new newsletter subscribers as well as an invite to come back again. It was fun and I look forward to doing another chat.
Thank you.
Love that bag. Congrats!
I’ve had it for a while now but this is the first time I’ve had a use for it!
Met you in AZ at Nick Russel Gypsy journal Rally . I HELPED YOU park in a mud puddle.
You are a great writer (almost as good as Nick) 😀

Hi Dick and welcome to my blog. I do remember you very well! I hope all is good in your neck of the woods.
I bet the seniors enjoyed meeting and listening to a published author! Fun for you and for them. I LOVE that bag!
They did seem to enjoy the chat which was 50% Books & writing and 50% about me & my travels. The bag is amazing as is my friend, Kay, who made and gifted me with it.
