It’s time for a Freewrite Friday post where I write whatever comes into my mind. It could be a writing update, a personal update, or who knows what else Here’s my thoughts today…
Today I go solo – not as a widow, not as a traveler, although I have been both – but at home. Hubby is headed to Maryland to deliver our 5th wheel trailer and Freightliner to his youngest daughter. She and her husband are buying it from us and I know they will have many, many wonderful camping memories in it with the grandkids.
This leaves a lot of empty space in the pole barn…but hubby says it will fill up fast. First, he will be backing our cargo trailer and pickup into the space where the RV was.
We put many miles on this rig, many memories of living and traveling in it (full-time) for ten years. It’s been through just about every state in the Continental US and many national parks. We’d love to downsize, but camping has gotten expensive and we have other things we prefer to do now. Travel is by cruise ship for the foreseeable future.
I hope he has a safe and uneventful trip up in the rig and back home on the motorcycle. Me? I’ll be letting dogs in and out while I try to finish the first draft of Frozen Dough.
