Delightful Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories…

  • Dogs playing: I love to watch our two doodles play, both with each other and other dogs. I’ll watch puppies play anytime. Always brings a smile to my face.
  • Daisies: No roses for me (but if you have to, make them yellow or peach), daisies are my flower of choice. Common daisies, white petals with a greenish-yellow center, please.
  • Dragons: I love them all – cartoonish, fierce, fairy tales, books, movies, television. They always make me smile.
  • Diner mugs: There is something about them. The heft. The shape. How they warm your cold hands. Over our ten years of full-time travel, we collected dozens and dozens of them. We have donated some but still have a lot. I mean A LOT!
  • Dragonflies: No, this isn’t part of my love for dragons, they are in a category by themselves. So graceful, they make me think of flying fairies.
  • Disaster Movies: I call them silly sci-fi disaster movies and I love them all, not matter how silly or outrageous. Some are really good, Twister and 2012 come to mind. Some, not so much (and I won’t name any).

  2. I like all of those except diner mugs, as I don’t know what they are. I’m not sure about disaster movies – they’re exciting, but I get too tense watching them!

  4. I would add Daffodils, happy Dreams, my Dad, Indian festival of Dasara, and a little bit of Drama into my list of favourite Ds! Yours are good too.

  7. I like daisies as well. Here’s another delightful D: ducks! I love to watch them at the lake. The other day one handsome drake let me approach super close. No zoom needed to take a picture.
    I wouldn’t say no to a delicious donut either!

    1. No ducks here but I do enjoy watching them. Ah, donuts – guess they got left off since we are mostly low carb. LOL!

  10. Love watching playful pups but as an ignorant Aussie I haven’t experienced a diner mug. I imagine them as thick, heavy and break resistant.
