What a week it’s been! I spent several days setting up my new Mac Mini M1 desktop computer system so I could have the same files on it and on my MacBook Pro.

What a debacle that was…but I learned a lot about cloud storage (the good, the bad, the ugly).

It’s fixed now, but I spent almost four days trying something out, finding out it wouldn’t work for me, undoing it, and finding a better way to do it. Sigh… But my new monitor is working, and there is less cable mess. I still want to reduce that clutter so am looking at a different docking hub. The one I am using semi-works but it slides all over when I need to plug/unplug. Plus it’s limited in what I can plug into it.

I did move the desk lamp back to the right. I thought it would be better on the left – that lasted two days. It turned out to be too inconvenient to turn off & on, but with the added light from the overhead LEDs I’m not writing in my shadow. Oh, and the iPad is hiding the plugs/cables in the back corner. That hasn’t changed much. LOL!

I was exhausted after getting things where I wanted/needed them and took Friday off, lying around and playing games all day. Much needed rest & recuperation!

Sunday I finally got back to writing….it was time to tackle book one of the Red Line Coffee Mysteries, Ventis & Victims. I had a lot of notes jotted down in the last week that helped me get the story moving again. It felt good! My hope is to have it finished in the next couple of weeks, edited in early March, and published before March is over. Keeping my fingers crossed!
