Well, I did finish a short story for a friend’s newsletter. And it gave me some ideas for Roasts & Rumors, the Red Line Coffee Mystery series prequel. So that meant I spent the weekend making some changes/additions to the upcoming book.
By the end of the weekend, the first and second drafts were complete, and the has book moved on to final editing. If all goes well, it should be available by next weekend. Hope you’re as excited as I am.
Then it’s back to writing book one in the series, Ventis & Victims. A couple new characters, more mystery, and hopefully, some fun reading. Like my other series, Klondike Mysteries and C’Mon Inn Mysteries, I’ve ended up with a wide range of characters. I enjoy it as do many readers. But not everyone is a fan. They get lost and confused. In my next series, I think I need to keep the number of characters to fewer…maybe…I’ll try…honest…

I like how you have named the main characters here since my brain has a problem remembering from one moment to the next! At the same time, I enjoy multiple characters who float in and out of different books of a series. Sure, I get confused but I straighten it out before the ending of the book! lol
I plan to include this at the front of each of the books to make it easier to remember “who is who”.
As a reader for this series, I loved the list of characters and business names!!!
Someday, maybe I’ll manage a series without such a wide cast of characters. LOL!
