It’s been very busy (personal life) since we got home from our cruise. Taxes were number one on the To Do list and our check is now mailed off to the government. Phew! (We have an amazing tax accountant).

The weather has been a bit bizarre – spring, then winter, then spring, then more winter. You get the idea. We woke to snow just a couple days ago! We are looking at a week of warmer but wetter weather, then I hope spring finally arrives. I get more done on the computer when I can leave the back door to the deck open for the dogs to go in and out (thanks to the magnetic screen door panels).

Oh, you want to hear the writing news? Well, in the span of three days, I was invited to participate in three different story anthologies. I accepted two of them, both for short reads.

The first will be a short based upon Jodi/Gabby in my Red Line Coffee mystery series. It will only be available in the anthology whose proceeds go to a charity. Once that obligation is fulfilled, the rights should revert to me and I can publish it. Watch for more news in the next couple of months. This is the future cover…what do you think?

The second opportunity is for a four book cozy mystery series entitled the Holiday Corner Cozy Mystery Short Read series. I am tickled to be writing book #3, Slay Ride. It’s going to be a hoot. It won’t be out until late in the fall of 2022, but I promise you will love it.

Due to the time constraints, I am currently working on the short story for Mocha & Melodies, then it will be back to Ventis & Victims. My hope is to have both done by the end of May. Phew! So much to do and so little time…this month is full of appointments (medical & otherwise). May will be better – right?
