I arrived in Appleton, WI early yesterday afternoon. Traffic was okay, lots of construction on I-65 but only minor slow downs. The toughest part was finding the hotel parking! It’s in the middle of downtown and the GPS kept trying to send me down a narrow alley. I did see the hotel and grabbed a metered spot so I could go inside to check-in. The parking garage across the street just didn’t jump out at me when I approached from the opposite direction.
Met my roommate a couple hours later when she flew in from Arizona and we had a quiet evening in the room, resting up. This morning I slept in (after two nights of not so good sleep) and as usual, skipped breakfast. When I went down to the breakfast buffet area, there were still folks sitting and talking so I grabbed some coffee and joined in.
We eventually moved out to the lobby and chatted some more before I headed to my room to grab my laptop for a bit. Now I’m back in the lobby, Starbucks Iced Latte by my side. Here are my not-really-writing photos. LOL!
Thank you.
Living your best life! So happy to know that you made it safe and sound. Enjoy!
Glad your drive was uneventful.
Enjoy your next few days away.
Have a hard time focusing on anything after the photo of your laptop case with the angry face. lol Love it.
And that’s a good thing….LOL!
Glad you arrived safely.
Thanks – it’s been fun so far but tiring.
Parking always seems to be harder to find when you’re trusting the GPS. Not sure why, but I’ve not only had this happen a lot myself, I’ve ridden with several drivers who say the same thing.
At least you found a valid stopgap and got settled in nicely. Have an amazing time, Donna
Thanks, Eden. So nice to see you pop in!!

Have fun! I’m from a place not too far from there.
It’s been great so far, one more day then I head back home.
