I know I said I was getting back to writing. And I have. A little. Some editing and a couple hundred words. But daily email and a couple of blog updates have been dealt with, too. I can only use the computer for two hours a day, before my shoulder start aching. It doesn’t matter if it’s my desktop or using the laptop in my lap. But I’m keeping at it, a little more each day.

My shoulder is about 80% recovered, the bad thing is that final 20% is going to take the same amount of time and work as the initial 80%. Yes, I’m using dictation when I can. That doesn’t always work in the living room with the laptop because of my hubby, and the dogs. I do have to say I’m impressed with how well the transcription/dictation works using the native Apple Mac products. I just need to keep practicing connecting my brain and my voice. LOL!

In exciting news, we have done some future planning for our trip to Scotland and the following 18 day transatlantic cruise in October 2023. We have booked our 5 day tour of the Highlands of Scotland as well as one of our hotel stays. Most other things will have to wait until at least this fall and the airline bookings until next spring.

I did want to share some fun news. I’ve been promoting AN ELF-ING MESS as a Christmas in July fun read. I’ve sold about a dozen copies (hey, it’s only 99¢) and woke to an email from BookBub with a recommendation from a reader! WOOT!

Such nice reviews always make me smile.

  1. Yea! Take it easy! We are doing a trans Atlantic end of 23 also! Nice we are try Canard for the first time!

    1. I’ll be interested in hearing how you like Cunard. I fully admit it’s too formal for me. I’m a leggings & t-shirt gal. LOL

  2. I got An Elf-ing Mess for two reasons. Obviously, you wrote it and I had part of a gift card left! Woohoo! The other reason is I am still on the Kindle Summer Reading challenge and length doesn’t matter as long as you read each day.

I can understand the 80%/20% ratio in the healing time. Been there when I had a head injury. I think I am still on that last few percentages that probably never happen (too much damage was done in my poor brain!)

I am so happy y’all are going to Scotland and then a transatlantic cruise after! I can hardly wait to see the pictures!

Hugs and have a terrific Tuesday evening!

    Love y’all, Cheryl
