Welcome to a small coastal town where the population triples during the season and everyone knows everyone else during the off season. Also known as Murder Beach!
The Chief of Police is George M. Bennett and his socialite wife is Emily Bennett. Their son is Maximillian S. Bennett II, named after his grandfather. He prefers to go by Max. After two years of backpacking in Europe, he put his degree to use as the physical education teacher at the local elementary school. During summer, he is the head lifeguard.
His girlfriend is Parker J. Wilson, aka PJ. She left college after two years when her father passed. Now she helps her mother, Louise, in their cafe/bakery. Her favorite time of day is morning when she makes deliveries on her bicycle.
Of course, finding dead bodies during her rounds is far from the highlight of her day. But with the help of Max and her best friend, Lulu, they work to solve the mysteries.
