Some of you may know already that I lived in Ecuador from December 2013 to January 2016. It was our grand adventure and we made a lot of friends while there.

One downside, for me, was I never got much writing done. I did write blog posts and I did write some short-shorts, but never got to work on my book series. Part of the reason was an ultra-active social life – there were always places to see, people to meet, and things to do.

One of the things I was busy with was starting a writing group, Writing Our World. Cuenca had a surprising number of writers, poets, artists, and other creative types.

But I digress from the reason for this post. A highlight of my time there was meeting my first fans in person! Pat and her daughter became online friends via our blog about living in Cuenca. They arrived while we were on our annual two-month trip back to the states but we arranged to meet shortly after that.

I’ll let Scarlett tell the rest of the story here: Fairy Godmother With a Frog Tattoo.

I’m proud to have been able to make a difference in her life but am prouder she has gone on to a successful writing career as well as starting her own author services company.

You can find Scarlett’s books on Amazon.
