Since I love playing around with taking photos, I thought I’d try another photo challenge from Cee’s challenges. Here are my photos for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Letters M-N. They were all taken during my solo cross country motorcycle trip the year after my husband passed.

Not a Whisper

J. Hall: “This is an easy-reading story about the characters in a small community. It’s well written with clear development of the different characters. The writer makes it so believable that the reader is drawn into the daily life in this small town.”
Barely a Spark
G. White: “I just finished Barely a Spark, and it was one of those rare to find books you just don’t want to put it down. The book is a roller coaster ride, with an action packed story full of suspense and surprises. You have your small town characters with all the drama and humor that are such a delight to read. Great book, a great read.”
Anita T.: “I love these books! The mystery keeps you guessing, and there’s a nice twist at the end of this one. The characters are people I’d love to know, so it keeps my interest in their world. What a delight to read such well written and wholesome stories!”
Almost a Touch

Paradise Down
Judy R.: “Having read other works by Donna B. McNicol I was anxious to find out more about her foray into solving crimes. I took a dive — literally. Paradise Down was the story about crimes involving an Hawaiian Diving Shop and the writer reeled me in immediately. Well written with interesting characters. It was also fun learning about the Hawaiian culture that was an underlying thread throughout the story. It was a fast, easy read!”
Paradise Dead

Paradise Drift

Lost and Found (short story prequel)
N. Russell: “In Lost and Found, Donna McNicol captures the very essence of rural life. Having been a single father I could relate very well to Sarah’s uncertainty and self-doubt about the decisions she makes and what will happen next. This is a wonderful short story that will make you happy you read it, but wanting to know more about the people. It could easily lead into a full size novel. “
Karen E: “I found this short story to be very enjoyable. I was pulled into the story very quickly and could relate to the emotions of the characters. I was disappointed when it ended so quickly and was wishing for more! I would definitely want to read this if/when it becomes a novel!”
Home Again
Emily B: “This was a relaxing, wholesome book and I could see myself or my friends in some of the situations. Wanting to know what happened next, I always read a chapter or two more than I planned to in each sitting because I did not want to put it down.”

Yes it was…I took one accidentally that way and loved it. Then I started taking them that way on purpose!

I’m very impressed that you still ride a Harley. I used to have a dual sport that weighed about 360 pounds with bags. I was reluctant to get a larger bike because most were about 500 lbs. Your baby must weigh 1000 loaded!
Actually, after turning age 66 on Rt 66 in 2013, we moved to Ecuador for two years. When we came back, I did a couple local rides then traded it in with hubby’s then trike for a new Tri-Glide which is all we have now. Vision, balance, response time have all degraded. I still miss it though…
