Always on Duty - A Klondike Mystery NovellaI didn’t get any writing done last week, nor will I this week. Maybe not until March. There are several reasons for this. After publishing Just a Stranger (the prequel to my Klondike Mysteries), I started looking at ways to publish the Klondike Mystery companion book, Always on Duty, as a print book. I have one reader who loves print. I discovered some new things, at least new to me, that enabled me to do that. The book is now available in digital format from Barnes&Noble, Apple iBooks, and Kobo as well as Amazon. CLICK HERE

In the process, I decided it was time to clean up the back matter and copyright statements in my books. Some were dated back to 2012 and used language required by Amazon at that time. Those restrictions are long gone.

Now I am taking time to update the back matter in all my published books, print and digital. I’ll also clean up any other little nagging issues as well as add some fun chapter and scene break graphics to both the digital and print copies. In addition, I will take the time to put all four of the C’Mon Inn Mystery books into print format. I’ll be updating the links on the website as well.

When all those are done, it will be time to tackle the most dreaded task of all – TAXES. We don’t do them, our accountant does, but I have all the prep work – pulling everything together and putting it into a spreadsheet. Blech! Every year I say I will get more organized…and within a month, I’m back to stuffing things into a “To Be Filed” folder.

Yup, it might be March before I get back to writing book one of the Red Line Coffee Mysteries, Ventis & Victims. I hope the wait will be worth it – I should really be able to concentrate on the writing then. Ciao!

  1. Sounds like needed “chores”. Maybe you can bill YOURSELF for legal fees and write them off next year. You will have a cleared mind and freshly cleared desk to call home when you start writing again.

    1. This has been a week for changes…COVID shots rescheduled twice due to weather, eye doctor just rescheduled due to weather, and a full day lost of technical issues on one of my websites. LOL! Never a dull moment.

  2. I like being retired, no problem having to get somewhere when ice is everywhere. Eyes are finished, lasered clean and a new prescription. Can’t get an appt for Covid vaccine yet but we got my sis in law in for her first vaccine in Baltimore at the Convention Center, easy in and out with some illegible? parking while waiting for her. Can’t find pickling spice anywhere local so that we can make the family recipe, sauerbraten, this Sunday.

    1. Hugs, hope you can find pickling spice. I have some from when I was making bread ‘n butter pickles, no longer on our diet. LOL!

  3. I look forward to getting all your C’mon Inn in 1 printed book. And the same with Klondike Mysteries… I love your style of writing. Thanks for staying that style. I will always be out here supporting you. Love ya! 💘

    1. The first three books are already in a print set, I hadn’t thought about putting all four in. I will be putting them up individually though.
