If you’ve followed me, personally or professionally, for very long, you know I follow a lot of blogs. It started with RVing friends as a new widow in 2006 as I considered becoming a full-time RVer. Here is my very first blog post, written on the Blogger platform.

Over the years, I had many active blogs on the Blogger platform and I followed other blogs via Google Reader. When that was discontinued, I had to find another way to follow blogs. While many of them were on the same platform, some were not. Over the years I have tried several different blog readers, hoping for something that would stick. I ended up using Inoreader.

In 2014, I moved from the PC world to the Apple world and I’ve never looked back. But that meant replacing all the program I had used previously with new software. I managed that without much trouble and life went on. Then I got my first iPad Air. Oh my, could I find applications that would run on both my MacBook and my iPad? In some cases, yes.

And fortunately, I found the perfect app to follow blogs on both platforms. It lets me categorize blogs by folders and I have it set to only show me new posts. Unfortunately, it only runs in the Apple environment. I currently follow 63 blogs, not all are active daily, plus a host of April A-Z blogs via the NetNewsWire app.

As I said, first blog was on the Blogger platform…and over the years I had nine blogs there. The active ones have all been migrated to the WordPress platform where I still maintain five blogs plus one for my daughter who is journaling her fight against breast cancer.

For anyone interested, here is my list:

So, if you want to follow more than a couple of blogs and not all of them offer email updates of new posts, an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader application is a must-have.
