A to Z of Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories
Knockout Small Delights, Simple Pleasures, & Significant Memories…
- Kitchen: There’s nothing better than a clean kitchen, just after you’ve made something delicious.
- Knic-knacs: Over the years I’ve collected way too many. I still have a lot, collections for the most part. In the kitchen I have a collection of pitchers on top of our cabinets. On top of the china cabinet (which holds a collection of McNicol china items and other miscellaneous things) is my Toby mug collections. Moving on to the office, I have my collection of frog knic-knacs which has been greatly reduced over the years/
- Kindness: There is nothing better than showing or being shown a kindness. Nothing!
- Kittens: Sweet, soft, fluffy kittens!
- Knowing someone likes a gift you gave them: No matter how much thought or work you put into something, it always feels good to know they like it.
- Keys: Especially old skeleton ones, I’ve been known to use them as decor items on the wall.
What are your knockout small delights, simple pleasures and significant memories?

Thank you.
Thank you.
Wholeheartedly agree on the Kitchen. There’s nothing like the feeling I get inside walking into a clean, organized kitchen.
And mine needs a good counter/item wipe down right now. LOL!
In her many years as a teacher, my wife accumulated many knick-knacks that were given to her as gifts from her students. Some we have put on shelves, but most have been given to Goodwill. Occasionally, I will rescue something I like from the dispose of pile and put it out in our garage. I like little decorations and ornaments, but they can eventually get overwhelming.

Yes they can and at age 75, I’m trying to cull mine down a bit so my kids don’t have to deal with them.
We definitely need a kitchen overhaul but have to find the money first!
Sounds like we both need to win the lottery!
K is a bit of a hard letter in the English language. You did well, KIDDO 🙂
Aw, thanks!
K.. kids… fond memories of raising two kids, loving their four kids, and now a nine year old great grandkid. So many sweet moments, fun times, and yes, some heartache there, too.
Yes….
Those frogs are so cute!
For me, it’s kindness on top of the list and knic-knacs which I used to collect once upon a time, before I started following the minimalistic lifestyle. 🙂
The older I get, the easier it is to avoid the impulse buys as I think about someone having to deal with it all when I’m gone.
Yes! To all of these but especially knowing someone likes a gift you gave them…
Yes!!
I am fascinated by keys. And I was thinking I might get my next tattoo of some sort a key.
Interesting…I have one more tattoo I’d like to get. It’s three connect hearts to represent my late husband, my current husband, and me. So blessed to have found love again.
