Callie Sullivan left her hometown right after high school, headed to the big city to make her fortune as a chef. She’s pulled back unexpectedly when her grandmother bequeaths her a crumbling building along with instructions and a little money to bring it back to its glory days.
That building? An ancient cafe that had been in the family for generations and her grandfather has many tales to pass on to her. She renames it Callie’s Cafe and starts remodeling with the help of her best friend Dee. A few hindrances pop up, including a murder (or two) along the way. Always curious, Callie and Dee try to solve the mysteries to the dismay of Callie’s on again-off again boyfriend, Jake Maguire, who works for the local police department.
A rescue pup named Roscoe, but more appropriately addressed as Trouble, and a stray black cat, nicknamed Bones, discover a few clues along the way.
