Here’s my contribution to this week’s 100 Word Wednesday by bikurgurl…

Her mama told her people got arrested for jaywalking. She was busy counting steps when she walked in front of the police car. She always counted when walking, Maybe she should have yelled back when the officer shouted at her.

Now she was counting the bars in the holding cell. Counting helped her nerves and kept her from worrying. Worrying was bad for her.

She stopped counting and watched as two police officers pointed at her then said something about a hospital. Good thing she listened when her mama told her to never leave the house without wearing clean underwear!
